Winters Day by Diane Wolfenden is an insightful book exploring the complexities of human relationships with plenty of emotion within its pages. Cousins Jolie and Debbie are people you can identify and empathise with, especially if you have enjoyed a similar relationship in your formative years/5(73).

However, All On A Winter's Day was one of those rare cases where the story actually stuck in my head, at least in part. All I could remember was it was a ghost story with a twist (view s I first read this one when I was about 13 or 14 (ish)/5.

This is a great book. I gave it to my grandchildren for Christmas. They (3 yrs & 18 months) both enjoy the story and the bright, colorful pictures. It has a moral in that if you do good things for others, in return, they will do good things for you.

It is a lovely book for one and all/5(47). Winters Day is a fun read about girls who just want to have fun, but it has a deeper message about codependent women who are manipulated to stay in abusive relationships because of fear and guilt.
